Someone once said, "you will do foolish things, but do them with enthusiasm". Once in awhile, actually quite often in our lives, we should set aside time to be silly. Silliness in my life usually leads to creative breakthroughs. When I'm channeling celebrity voices in the car, or when my wife battles me in 'who can say the weirdest thing', I often find my brain hours later, sometimes minutes later, freshly illuminated with clever ideas or interesting thoughts for work or for play. When I approached Scott and his new wife and family with a concept of celebrating and acting a little childish in their family shoot, my old roommate didn't flinch. See Scott is 8 years old going on 31. While living with him his diet consisted of Mountain Dew and Gushers. I also am hear to testify that I know Scott is single handedly keeping Laffy Taffy in business. Besides eating like he's headed to middle school, Scott is no stranger to laughter. I may not have laughed harder than I did in that house with Scott. The Dude's sense of humor is in a league of its' own. If anyone knows Scott personally, they will confirm he has no problem having a good time.
So here's a reminder to laugh loud, eat like a kid once in a blue moose, and really really try to be silly silly.
