The Witt Twins | The Liberated
When life gives you identical twins to photograph, don't stop shooting. Ever. Identical twins are rare, though I had shot ones before, it had been three or four years and I was beyond thrilled to get another chance. I met Madison and McKenna when I photographed their Mountain Ridge Volleyball team years ago. They are beasts on the volleyball court, and were a dominating tandem when they played together. Their shoot spanned two days, and I got to know these two quite well -- I can now say confidently, that I can tell them apart. They smiled constantly, laughed frequently, and always showed the type of energy that makes it so exciting to photograph. McKenna's boyfriend Clayton, who I had shot the year before, accompanied her on the shoot, and it was apparent that they really cared for one another, in a wholly genuine way. Both girls possess a passion for Jesus Christ, a belief that was easy to see in them. Last time it was mirrors, this time it was natural reflections. Photographing identical humans is so cool. This is Madison and McKenna Witt, they've been liberated.
